AI-based training for primary teachers to be arranged: State Minister Bobby Hajjaj

He said this while speaking as chief guest at a global dialogue titled ‘Empowering Teachers in Low-Resource Classrooms’, organized on September 22 in New York as part of the program of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The state minister said that although the future of education is technology-driven, technology is never a substitute for teachers. Rather, technology must be used effectively to enhance teachers' capacity. In particular, teachers need to be made skilled to ensure technology-driven and inclusive education for students in low-resource classrooms.

He said primary school teachers will not only use technology but will also play an innovative role in applying it effectively according to students' needs. For this, technology-driven initiatives will be taken with emphasis on teacher training, classroom realities, student learning outcomes, and local needs.

Later, Bobby Hajjaj spoke at an event titled ‘From Classroom to Economy’, organized by the Consulate General of Bangladesh in New York. There he said that an effective connection must be created between classroom education and real-life skills, so that young people can use knowledge and skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and economic progress.
