Decision to form committees to prevent drugs and gambling in educational institutions

The information was disclosed in a notice signed by Faisal Hasan, public relations officer of the ministry, on Thursday. The initiative has been taken to keep students away from harmful activities such as drug addiction and gambling and to ensure a safe educational environment.

However, the notice did not provide details about the committee formation process, number of members, responsibilities and activities.

Earlier, on June 30, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) instructed that the activities of committees formed in educational institutions to prevent drug abuse be made more active and visible.

In the DSHE letter, emphasis was placed on increasing publicity and awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and building a social movement against drugs through public engagement. Educational institutions were asked to take effective measures to implement this decision.
