British High Commission and Democracy International delegation meet Home Minister

The meeting was held on Thursday at the Minister's office of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Bangladesh Secretariat. A four-member delegation led by Louise Benon, Governance Adviser of the British High Commission, participated in it.

In the meeting, various issues were discussed, including the development of the parliamentary democratic system, the formation of parliamentary standing committees and increasing their effectiveness, and the proposed Cyber Protection (Amendment) Act, 2026.

Political Counsellor of the British High Commission in Dhaka Ryan Duncanson, Chief of Party of Democracy International Bangladesh Aminul Ehsan, and Senior Program Director Lipika Biswas were present in the delegation.

At that time, Additional Secretary (Political and Emigration) of the Ministry of Home Affairs Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed and concerned officials were present.
