He said these things at the inauguration ceremony of the bank protection work of Wapda Khal in Bhabaniganj Union of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila on Friday morning.
Annie alleged that activities such as setting fire to vehicles, cocktail explosions, and flash processions are being carried out under the leadership of those staying abroad. He claimed that these have similarities with the recent activities of the opposition party.
Criticizing the opposition party's activities, he said that differences of opinion and dissent are part of democracy. However, abusive language, bombings, and threats of cocktail attacks cannot be the practice of democracy. He claimed that the opposition party has engaged in a new conspiracy to destroy democracy.
The Water Resources Minister further said that it was through street movements that their party came to power, and in the past too they confronted conspirators on the streets. He said that in the future as well, such evil forces will be confronted on the streets.
Local leaders, including Executive Engineer of Lakshmipur Water Development Board Nahid Uz Zaman Khan, District BNP Joint Convener Hasibbur Rahman, BFF Vice President Wahiduddin Chowdhury Happy, and President of Sadar (East) Upazila BNP Main Uddin Chowdhury Riaz, were present at the event.
