He said this at a check distribution ceremony among flood-affected families in Banshkhali Upazila of Chattogram at noon on Thursday (September 24).
Addressing NCP leaders, the state minister said the new generation had expectations for young leadership. For this reason, some of them were even elected. However, he remarked that the language they are speaking is not political language.
Mir Shahe Alam further said that doubts are also created about them because many were involved with Shibir politics. Drawing on the 11-party alliance and Awami League's relationship with India, he criticized the NCP leaders.
On Jamaat, he said that in 1996 Jamaat had political relations with Awami League in the movement. He also remarked that those relations could be patched up again in the future.
Claiming that BNP does not care about any threat, the state minister said that through current activities, some people are trying to bring Awami League back to Bangladesh anew.
