Voter area transfer resumes, how to apply
Earlier, in the plan to hold local government elections in November, voter area transfer was suspended from September 10. As the election was postponed, the Commission decided to resume it.

Those interested in changing voter area can apply directly in the prescribed form at the upazila/thana election office and the office of the registration officer. After receiving the application, the concerned office will verify and scrutinize the information, dispose of it as per the rules, and update the necessary information.
Online application as well
Alongside direct applications, an initiative has been taken to resume the online voter area transfer service. For this, the system manager of the National Identity Registration Wing has been instructed to take necessary measures, including activating the online link.
According to EC instructions, the entire process of receiving, verifying, scrutinizing and disposing of applications will be completed through the relevant election office. Regional election officers and senior district/district election officers have been assigned responsibility for monitoring the activities.
