17 years have been snatched from our lives: Water Resources Minister

He said these things while speaking as chief guest at the freshers' reception ceremony of Principal Kazi Faruki College in Raipur, Lakshmipur on Saturday.

The minister said that during this time the expansion of education was disrupted, many young people have passed the employment age, and many have been deprived of the opportunity to give something to their families and the country. To get out of this situation, many movements and struggles had to be waged.

He said the young men and women of the current generation carried out the July movement, fought for merit, and protested against quotas.

Dr. Kazi Md. Nur-ul Ferdous, co-chairman of the Professor Kazi Faruki Welfare Trust, presided over the event. Member of Parliament for Lakshmipur-2 constituency Abul Khayer Bhuiyan, along with officials of the local administration, BNP, and educational institutions, were present.
