The meeting took place at the Attorney General's office on Saturday (September 26). The Attorney General said the case is currently scheduled for hearing of the death reference/appeal in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.

Ramisa's father meets Attorney General to learn about case progress
Earlier, on June 7, Dhaka's Metropolitan Children's Violence Suppression Tribunal sentenced the main accused in the case, Sohel Rana, and his wife Swapna Khatun, to death in a speedy trial process.
The Attorney General said there is respect for child Ramisa and deep condolences to her family. The process of justice will proceed at its own legal pace.

Last May 19, Ramisa was killed after being raped in Section-11 area of Pallabi. In this incident, her father filed a case at Pallabi Police Station. On May 25, a charge sheet was filed against the two accused, and on June 1, the trial began with the framing of charges.
On June 2, the testimony of 16 prosecution witnesses was completed in a single day. Later, on June 3, the accused were examined, and on June 7, Judge Masrur Salekin announced the verdict in the case.
