Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury is going on a visit to Thailand and Malaysia. He will leave the country for Thailand on September 28 and for Malaysia on October 5.
According to a notification of the Ministry of Law, the Chief Justice will stay in Thailand from September 28 to October 2 and in Malaysia from October 5 to 14.

In his absence, the senior-most justice of the Appellate Division, Md. Rezaul Haque, will perform the duties of the Chief Justice. This responsibility will remain in force until the Chief Justice resumes his duties.

The notification said that, in accordance with Article 97 of the Constitution, the President has given consent to this matter.
