Prime Minister's adviser Mahdi Amin said that during the visit the Prime Minister participated in 30 international programmes, including bilateral meetings with 11 countries, an address to the UN General Assembly and six important speeches.

During the visit, Bangladesh signed an agreement to buy 11 aircraft from the US company Boeing. The agreement was signed without the Prime Minister's direct presence. In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the United States to increase peaceful nuclear cooperation.

Participating in a high-level meeting jointly organized by Bangladesh and Gambia on the Rohingya crisis, the Prime Minister presented a five-point proposal for a sustainable solution to the crisis. He also raised fears that the Rohingya crisis could turn into a security challenge for the entire region.

In addition to the main session of the UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister spoke at various high-level meetings. He also addressed investors and development partners. In these speeches, Bangladesh's economic priorities, climate justice and international cooperation were emphasized.

During the visit, the Prime Minister met with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia and the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. The government said these meetings discussed manpower export, energy security, the mineral sector and increasing investment in Bangladesh.

He also met with various international figures, including the President of the World Bank, the UN Secretary-General, the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy on Myanmar, the High Commissioner of the UN refugee agency and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

During the visit, the issue of Sheikh Hasina also came up at a briefing by the US State Department. An official there said the United States has not yet taken any formal position on the matter and hopes that India and Bangladesh will reach a solution through discussions between themselves.

According to former diplomats, during the Prime Minister's first UN visit, an opportunity was created to raise various issues related to Bangladesh's interests at the international level. They said issues such as the Rohingya, economic priorities and climate justice received importance in various programmes of the visit.
