The meeting was held on Sunday (September 27) at 10:30 am at the official residence of the Leader of the Opposition on Minto Road. First Secretary of the Brunei High Commission Rozaimi Abdullah was present at the time.

Brunei High Commissioner meets Leader of the Opposition
During the meeting, they discussed Bangladesh's political situation, democracy, human rights, Bangladesh-Brunei relations, and trade and economic cooperation. In particular, Brunei's potential role in addressing Bangladesh's ongoing energy crisis was also discussed.
Various aspects of expanding investment and trade between the two countries were also discussed. They expressed determination to further strengthen the existing friendly relations in the future.

After the meeting, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman showed the Brunei High Commissioner around various graffiti of the July Movement. Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Central Executive Council member Md. Mubarak Hossain and member of the Leader of the Opposition's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee Ali Ahmad Mabrur were present at the meeting.
