The meeting was held this morning at the Minister's Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat.

At the meeting, various issues of mutual interest were discussed, including bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Singapore, enhancing police capacity, modernizing border security at airports and land ports, technology transfer, and economic and commercial cooperation.

The representative of Singapore expressed interest in providing technical assistance in using modern technology for Bangladesh's border and immigration security. The representative also expressed hope that a full-fledged High Commissioner would soon be appointed to Bangladesh to further expand trade and relations between the two countries.

The Home Minister said the government is working to build modern technology-driven immigration and border security systems at Bangladesh's borders and airports. He expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would be further strengthened through countering extremism, police training, and technology transfer.

At the meeting, Singapore's new Chargé d'Affaires Philip Wong, Additional Secretary of the Political and Emigration Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed, and Second Secretary of the Singapore Mission Dhanya Lingesh, along with relevant officials, were present.
