Dinesh Trivedi said these things to journalists after a nearly hour-long meeting with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir on Tuesday morning. Various issues of mutual interest between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Bangladesh's firm commitment to working with India with a far-sighted and mutually respectful attitude was reiterated at the meeting.
Dinesh Trivedi said his relationship with Humayun Kabir has developed on a personal level. He also said that no specific issue was discussed at the meeting.
Regarding the Prime Minister's India visit, the Indian High Commissioner said the invitation for the visit is still open. The visit will take place whenever the two Prime Ministers deem it appropriate.
