The matter was discussed on Tuesday at a courtesy meeting between State Minister Aminul Haque and FIFA Director Frank Luis Bartolomé Castillo at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
In the first phase of the program, prevention of violence against women and girls and child protection will be included. There are plans to gradually add topics such as health protection, sanitation and disaster response.
An easy and specialized curriculum will be developed for school teachers. Participating teachers will later get the opportunity to take grassroots coaching courses. There are also plans to find promising football talents through organizing regular school tournaments.
The local management of the program will be handled by BFF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The pilot program will begin from next January through teacher training. After a review three to four months later, there are plans to gradually expand it to all schools in the country based on success.
