Shafiqur Rahman's farewell meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen

The meeting was held on Tuesday at the official residence of the opposition leader on Minto Road in the capital. Various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and China were discussed at the meeting.

At the meeting, hope was expressed about further strengthening economic, commercial, political and diplomatic relations between the two countries. At the same time, expectations were expressed to work together to advance bilateral cooperation and development.

Jamaat said that Yao Wen played a positive role in improving dialogue and relations among various political parties in the political situation following the July movement. Gratitude was expressed to him for this.

Deputy Chief of Mission of the Chinese Embassy Dr. Liu Yuyin, along with concerned officials, and several central leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami were present at the meeting.
