On the occasion of World Habitat Day-2026, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme UN-Habitat has set this year's theme “Adequate Housing for All”.
Its Bengali meaning has been rendered “Universal Housing, Sustainable Urbanization”.

According to information from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, this year's theme has been set to highlight the importance of sustainable urbanization alongside ensuring adequate and safe housing opportunities for all.
