He gave this instruction while visiting the Sadarghat Launch Terminal in the capital on Tuesday (September 29) afternoon on a sudden inspection. At that time, he inspected on the spot the terminal's management, passenger services, launch movement, fare collection, cleanliness, and infrastructural facilities.

The state minister said that if complaints of extra fare collection are received, an immediate investigation must be conducted and action taken against those responsible. At the same time, he directed that displaying the digital list of fixed fares in a visible place be made mandatory on all passenger vessels, including those at Sadarghat.

He further said that no passenger should be subjected to harassment or unnecessary suffering. Officials, employees, and vessel workers must behave responsibly and courteously with passengers.

The state minister directed that necessary initiatives be taken to improve cleanliness at Sadarghat, passenger facilities, and the terminal environment, as well as to build modern and passenger-friendly infrastructure. At that time, he spoke with launch passengers and inquired about their well-being.

Directing that regular inspections of vessels and terminals be strengthened, the state minister said that ensuring safe, comfortable, and uninterrupted river travel for passengers is one of the government's top priorities. At that time, the chairman of BIWTA and other concerned officials were present.
