On Wednesday (September 30), responding to journalists' questions at the Secretariat, he said that making lists of extortionists and criminals is a regular police activity. These lists are regularly updated, and many have already been arrested and subjected to legal action.

Regarding allegations of land grabbing and extortion by using political influence, the Home Minister said that no criminal's political identity is being considered. Regardless of political identity, criminals are being seen as criminals.

When asked whether the government has any responsibility in the demolition of the Radda MCH-FP Centre at Mirpur-1, he said there was no failure on the part of the police or the government in the incident. As one police officer was found negligent in duty in the incident, he was withdrawn and departmental action has been taken against him.

Noting that allegations of involvement of any member of parliament in the incident are under investigation, Salahuddin Ahmed said that if involvement is found in the investigation, no one will be spared. He also said that several people have already been arrested.
