He said this at a roundtable meeting held at the Ministry of Industries in the capital on Thursday (October 1) marking National Productivity Day 2026.
The minister said that one of the main reasons why many other sectors have fallen behind is a lack of leadership. To increase productivity, emphasis must be placed on the use of technology, good planning, and skilled leadership.
Noting that AI or technology will not be a substitute for people, he said that productivity must be increased collectively by acquiring world-class skills.
