Opposition leader and Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Shafiqur Rahman has demanded strict punishment for those involved in the attack and vandalism at Radda Health Center in the capital.
In a status posted on his verified Facebook page at noon on Thursday (October 1), he said that in the incident of the occupation of Radda Clinic, the government and the ruling party have started taking organizational action ‘under compulsion’.

Shafiqur Rahman said, organizational measures alone are not enough for such a major incident. Legal action must be taken against those involved and strict punishment ensured. The people of the country want to see visible and credible legal action.

At the same time, the Jamaat Ameer called upon the government to take responsibility for rebuilding the affected health center in a sustainable manner.
