After returning home following Umrah on Thursday (October 1), she shared her airport experience in a Facebook Live and said that she had to wait half an hour to 40 minutes to get a trolley and nearly three hours to get her luggage.
She alleged that due to long queues and insufficient seating arrangements in the airport’s baggage claim area, elderly people and children are also suffering. According to her, queues as long as 500 meters to one kilometer were seen.
At the time, Dr. Orakatul Jannat also complained about Zamzam water. She claimed that passengers were not given any clear explanation about the failure of Zamzam water to arrive.
Lamenting the situation at the airport, she said she had also suffered hardships at various times before, but had never seen such a situation. In her words, ‘Being born in Bangladesh—it now seems to have become a sin.’
She further said that even though the government has changed, the desired change has not come in the airport’s service system, and effective measures are needed to reduce passengers’ suffering.
