He emphasized this at a meeting organized at the Secretariat on Thursday on simplifying business processes. Officials from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) and the Invest Bangladesh Authority (IBA) attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the existing process for business registration, necessary approvals and availing government services was reviewed. Reducing unnecessary steps and time to make services easier for entrepreneurs and investors was also discussed.
The Commerce Minister said that if administrative complexity and delays are reduced, new entrepreneurs will emerge and domestic and foreign investment will increase. For this, coordination among relevant departments must be increased, and services must be made more user-friendly.
He also emphasized bringing business and investment-related services gradually under a digital and integrated system and ensuring transparency, dynamism and accountability in services.
