According to Bangladesh Bank data, remittances amounting to $2.686 billion came to the country in September 2025. The increase over one year was $59 million.
Remittances reach $2.745 billion in September
In the first three months of the current 2026-27 fiscal year, a total of $8.571 billion in remittances came to the country. In the same period of the last fiscal year, $7.586 billion came. As a result, in three months, expatriate income increased by $985 million, or 13 percent.
An analysis of the data shows that although remittance growth was relatively higher in the first two months of the fiscal year, it fell to 2.2 percent in September. However, on a three-month basis, the overall flow is still significantly higher than last year.

Bangladesh Bank said that on September 30 alone, $105 million in remittances came to the country. This flow of remittances is playing an important role in increasing foreign exchange supply and managing pressure on foreign transactions.
Although the pace of growth slowed in September, the overall trend of remittances in the current fiscal year will depend on the flow in the following months.
