The complainants are Md. Rashedul Islam Rashed of Sherpur-1 constituency, Mohammad Kamal Hossain of Dhaka-5, Salahuddin of Gazipur-4, and Jahangir Hossain of Khulna-2. The complaint asked for the reason for the harassment to be provided within four days.
The complaint says that among passengers arriving on flight BG-338, most passengers, including 34 MPs, did not receive their tagged Zamzam water luggage even after waiting three hours. It was also alleged that no reasonable reason was given in this regard even after waiting a long time.
MP Mohammad Kamal Hossain said that 34 MPs, 74 people including their family members, and other passengers arrived in Dhaka around 9 am on Thursday. After completing immigration, when they went to collect their luggage, they faced a trolley shortage. Later, although they received their luggage, they had to wait about two and a half hours for the Zamzam water.
He said that when they contacted Biman's station manager, they were informed that the water luggage had not been loaded onto the plane. Later, after about three hours, they left the airport after submitting a written complaint. He also said that Biman authorities assured them of delivering the Zamzam water to their homes.
Kamal Hossain said that, as public representatives, they have sought to know the reason for this kind of harassment. If necessary, the matter may also be raised in Parliament.
