6 killed in bus-auto-rickshaw collision in Mymensingh

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shibirul Islam of Kotwali Model Police Station confirmed the matter.

According to police and local sources, around 1:30 pm, when a Dhaka-bound bus of Rajib Paribahan from Jamalpur reached the Gandrapa area, it lost control and ran over a moving CNG auto-rickshaw. Six people in the auto-rickshaw were killed on the spot.

After the accident, locals started rescue work. On receiving the news, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control. Due to the accident, traffic movement on the road was disrupted for some time.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Police said efforts were underway to identify them. The process of taking legal action after investigating the cause of the accident is underway.
