This information was given in the regular measles-related report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Friday (2 October). According to the report, these deaths and infections occurred from 8am Thursday to 8am Friday.
The Directorate General of Health Services said that in the last one day, three people died with measles symptoms in Dhaka Division alone. In addition, one more person died of confirmed measles. From 15 March to date, a total of 1,114 people have died from measles and its symptoms in the country. Among them, 102 died of confirmed measles and 1,012 died with symptoms.
During this period, a total of 194,084 people showed measles symptoms. Among them, measles was detected in 21,623 people.
According to Directorate General of Health Services data, from 15 March to date, 172,021 people have been admitted to various hospitals in the country with measles symptoms. Among them, 166,933 have recovered and returned home.
