He made this comment in reply to journalists' questions after laying the foundation stone of the ‘Maize Square’ construction project at Canteen Mor in Lalmonirhat town on Friday (October 2) afternoon.
Referring to Jamaat, the minister said that talking about removing an elected government that is only seven months old is a sign of conspiracy and authoritarian mentality.
He also said that big businessmen are showing interest in setting up maize-based industries and factories in Lalmonirhat. He expressed hope that if these industries and factories are established, economic activities in the district will increase and employment opportunities will be created locally.
Lalmonirhat District Council Administrator A K M Mominul Haque, Deputy Commissioner Md. Rashedul Haque Pradhan, along with local leaders, were present at the event.
