On Saturday (October 3) noon, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Al-Beruni Mir passed this order after a hearing. Earlier, the investigating officer of the case and SI Majedul Islam of the Airport Police Station applied for a five-day remand.
Valiant Freedom Fighter Akhtaruzzaman remanded for one day
In the remand application, it was mentioned that Akhtaruzzaman needed to be interrogated to find out whether any particular quarter was behind the deterioration of the law-and-order situation at the airport.
On Friday (October 2), DB police arrested him from his home in the Cantonment area of the capital. He is currently in the court lock-up.

According to the FIR of the case, on October 1, dissatisfaction arose at the airport due to a delay in receiving the luggage of flight BG-338 coming from Medina. At that time, when the airport's Executive Director Group Captain SM Ragib Samad went to the spot, Akhtaruzzaman allegedly abused him and threatened to physically assault him.
In the FIR, it is further alleged that when he was obstructed from recording video in a restricted area, he misbehaved with a security officer and threw away ordinary passengers' Zamzam water bottles. There are also allegations of aggressive behavior with representatives of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
