On Friday (September 2), in his Facebook post, Rafiqul Islam Madani wrote that Jamaat is challenging Islamists in an effort to increase its acceptability to the West. Criticizing some of the party's recent activities, he also remarked that these are contradictory to Islamic ideology.

In the post, he compared the activities of a female leader of Jamaat with former Awami League MP and singer Mamtaz Begum. Rafiqul Islam Madani claimed that Jamaat is trying to change its political position to please the West.
He also mentioned his personal relationship with Jamaat-Shibir in his Facebook post. However, he said that if the party challenges Islamists to please the West, he will oppose Jamaat on an issue-by-issue basis.

Toward the end of the post, Rafiqul Islam Madani called on Jamaat leaders and activists to preserve the party's dignity and ideology. Referring to Allama Sayeedi, he also requested the party not to ‘sink any lower’.
