During a meeting with ADB Executive Director Satya Sreenivas Lolla at the Secretariat, he sought this cooperation. State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad was present at the time.
The Water Resources Minister said the ADB can play a more effective role in sustainable growth, increasing capacity to tackle disasters, expanding regional cooperation, and improving people's quality of life.
State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad said the ADB is Bangladesh's trusted development partner. He called for increased ADB cooperation in the exchange of experience, technical cooperation, training, and research in water resources management.
The ADB Executive Director said the organization is working to further strengthen its partnership with Bangladesh and to formulate a new Country Partnership Strategy. He also expressed interest in cooperation in sustainable water resources management, riverbank conservation, and erosion prevention.
