On Monday (October 5) morning, they protested by blocking the road in front of the National Press Club. Later, they took out a procession and held a rally at Dainik Bangla intersection. There, Council President SM Abubakar Siddique said that the four arrested leaders must be released within three working days. Otherwise, he warned, more stringent programs would be announced.

Auto-rickshaw drivers give government 48-hour ultimatum
He said they hope the government will sit for talks with their demands, including stopping the rickshaw eviction drive. However, if the four leaders are not released within the stipulated time, the movement's program will be announced.
Rickshaw drivers who participated in the protest also expressed anger over the rise in prices of daily necessities and the gas, water and electricity crisis.
