Auto-rickshaw drivers give government 48-hour ultimatum
Leaders and activists of the Owners-Workers Unity Council protested demanding the halt of the eviction drive against battery-powered rickshaws and easy bikes and the unconditional release of four arrested leaders. At that time, a 48-hour ultimatum was given to the government.

On Monday (October 5) morning, they protested by blocking the road in front of the National Press Club. Later, they took out a procession and held a rally at Dainik Bangla intersection. There, Council President SM Abubakar Siddique said that the four arrested leaders must be released within three working days. Otherwise, he warned, more stringent programs would be announced.
