He said this while speaking as chief guest at a preparatory meeting for Durga Puja, organized jointly by the Fatikchhari Upazila and Fatikchhari North Upazila administrations on Sunday (October 4) night.

Sarwar Alamgir said members of law enforcement agencies must perform duties at every Puja mandap centering Durga Puja. At the same time, he directed that all Puja mandaps be brought under CCTV cameras.

He said Bangladesh must be built with everyone—hill and plain people, and Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians. He called on everyone to remain vigilant against rumors, incitement and propaganda centering Durga Puja.
