Relief Minister calls for justice for atrocities against Rohingyas
The Minister requested IIMM to play a more vocal role in restoring the legitimate rights of the Rohingyas and ensuring sustainable repatriation to Myanmar.
At the meeting, Nicholas Koumjian said that since the beginning of 2024, more than 154,000 Rohingyas have crossed the border into Bangladesh. They have joined more than 1 million Rohingyas already residing there. As violence and insecurity continue in Rakhine, their safe repatriation has not yet been possible.
