He said this on Tuesday (October 6) at a ceremony at Bangladesh Shishu Academy celebrating Child Rights Day and the Academy's Golden Jubilee. The Prime Minister called for involving children in sports and creative activities alongside their studies.
Country's foundation will be strong if children develop properly: Prime Minister
He said, it is essential to ensure an environment in which children can grow up well. Today's children will lead the future. Therefore, they must be given opportunities to develop their intellect and abilities.
The Prime Minister said, the government wants to build a humane Bangladesh. Alongside education, children must be raised with human values, and alongside ensuring their rights, they must be given a safe and beautiful environment.

He also stated that arrangements will be made for learning other languages alongside Bengali from the school level. At the event, 35 drawings by children were gifted to the Prime Minister.
This year's Child Rights Day theme is ‘Let children's future be secure’. At the event, the Prime Minister's wife Zubaida Rahman and Minister of Women and Children Affairs Professor Dr. A Z M Zahid Hossain, along with others concerned, were present.
