The information was revealed in the regular dengue-related report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (October 6).
According to the report, the highest number of deaths in the last 24 hours was three in Khulna Division. In addition, two died in Barishal, two in Dhaka North City Corporation, and one each in Dhaka Division, Dhaka South City Corporation, and Rajshahi Division.
Among the new patients, the highest, 480, were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka Division (outside the city corporations). In addition, 302 were admitted in Khulna, 222 in Chattogram, 203 in Barishal, 199 in Rajshahi, 194 in Dhaka North City, 187 in Dhaka South City, 96 in Mymensingh, 75 in Rangpur, and 18 in Sylhet.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, from January 1 to October 6 of this year, 127 people died of dengue in Dhaka Division (including the two city corporations). In addition, 55 died in Khulna, 25 in Chattogram, 24 in Barishal, 23 in Mymensingh, 19 in Rajshahi, 6 in Rangpur, and two in Sylhet.
