The government has issued a notification declaring a general holiday every year on 7 November on the occasion of ‘National Revolution and Solidarity Day’.
The notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.

The notification said, according to the decision of the cabinet meeting held on 5 October, there will be a general holiday every year on 7 November on the occasion of ‘National Revolution and Solidarity Day’.

Earlier, during the BNP government, 7 November was a general holiday. However, after the Awami League government came to power in 2009, this holiday was cancelled.
