He said this to journalists after a seminar held on Thursday morning at the auditorium of the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) in the capital.
Committee formed to secure fair share of water; Dhaka seeks names of Indian representatives
Humayun Kabir said Bangladesh has international law and public support on its side in securing its fair share of water. He also said no concessions will be made in discussions with India on this matter.
The state minister said Bangladesh is working to form an international water agency under the United Nations, and initiatives are being taken to ensure Bangladesh's representation in the leadership of that agency.

Stressing the importance of involving youth in tackling the challenges of future water diplomacy, he said youths must be made skilled in science, international law and multidimensional skills and developed as ‘water diplomats’.
These issues were discussed at a seminar at BIISS titled ‘Rethinking the Future of Water—Youth Leadership, Justice and Cooperation’.
