Mahbub Kabir Milon seeks one-month authority from Prime Minister
Retired additional secretary Mahbub Kabir Milon has sought full freedom and responsibility for one month from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to stop railway ticket black-marketing and stone throwing at trains. He also promised to take effective measures within this time.

In the post, he said he wants to work for one month to stop ticket black-marketing on the Dhaka–Cox's Bazar and Dhaka–Chattogram routes. For this, no post or position, salary, or allowance will be needed; he only wants a car for travel and full freedom to work in the relevant department.

According to his proposal, experienced officers will be appointed for ticket inspection, and executive magistrates and special police support will be taken. He also mentioned plans to implement the policy of verifying passenger identity, imposing double fines in cases of irregularities, and the rule that the ticket belongs to whoever, the travel also belongs to them—this policy. He also proposed that ticket examiners and guards wear body cameras.

Mahbub Kabir Milon further said that within the stipulated one month, initiatives would be taken to implement the Railway Security Force Act and modernize the force. At the same time, he said necessary steps would be taken to stop stone throwing at trains on the specified routes.
