Iran's new proposal to end war; Putin announces intensifying diplomatic initiatives

Putin said these things after a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan, on Thursday (October 8). The information was reported in a report by Iranian media outlet Press TV.

Putin said resolving the current regional crisis is the most important thing. Moscow will work to end the conflict through diplomatic talks.

Meanwhile, Pezeshkian said that despite coming under attack during talks with the United States, they will continue negotiations. He said that after exchanging and revising various proposals, Tehran will try to find a solution through meetings with mediators.

Pezeshkian further said that ending the conflict and ensuring the rights of the Iranian people under international law are their goal. At the meeting, the leaders of the two countries also discussed increasing cooperation in the trade, energy, agriculture, and transportation sectors.
