Speaking at a pre-departure reception for the Prime Minister's Office delegation organized by the Chinese Embassy on Thursday, he said this China visit will contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries and creating new opportunities for future cooperation.

Ismail Jabiullah said Bangladesh has much to learn from China's development experience, long-term planning, infrastructure, industrialization, technology and innovation. He urged the delegation members to gain a practical understanding of the country's development progress through exchanges with Chinese government officials, entrepreneurs, academics and ordinary people.
He further said China's experience can be useful for Bangladesh in diversifying the economy, increasing productivity, building technology-driven industries and creating employment for young people.

He also emphasized facilitating people-to-people contact between the two countries, increasing trade and investment, and strengthening cooperation in technology and human resource development. The Public Administration Adviser also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Tareque Rahman, Bangladesh is interested in taking the existing relations with China further forward.
The Chinese Ambassador, senior officials of the Embassy, members of the Prime Minister's Office delegation and concerned officials were present at the event.
