He said these things in his speech as chief guest at an event of a dengue prevention and special cleanliness drive organized by Zone-5 of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) at the Bashila High School field in the capital on Saturday (October 10).
Bobby Hajjaj said, due to the huge population, running Dhaka North City Corporation is a big challenge. In this situation, the field-level activities of the DNCC administrator and his team in removing waste and controlling dengue-carrying mosquitoes are commendable.
He said, along with the administration, city dwellers must also take responsibility to build a clean and beautiful Dhaka. Calling for keeping houses and surroundings clean to prevent dengue, he requested everyone to be aware under the slogan ‘Saturday's pledge, let's keep homes clean’.
The event was presided over by DNCC Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan. Special guest was BNP Chairperson's adviser Ataur Rahman Dhali. At that time, DNCC officials, local dignitaries, and teachers and students of educational institutions were present.
