On this day, friends, relatives, colleagues and well-wishers bade a final farewell to journalist Khalidi with respect and love. His funeral prayer was held at 3:30 pm. Later, he is scheduled to be buried at the Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard in Mirpur at 5 pm.
Taufiq Imroz Khalidi, who was in London on a personal visit, suddenly fell ill on the night of October 1. After he was taken to a local hospital, doctors said he had suffered a brain hemorrhage. The next day, at 2:23 pm local time, doctors declared him dead.
