According to the notification, an investigation revealed that Dr. Dulal Krishna Saha had long been forging summons from courts in various districts and certificates of giving testimony to withdraw government money. In addition, although he had no entitlement to air travel as a sixth-grade officer, there are allegations against him of submitting air travel bills and withdrawing money more than a hundred times in the past 23 years.
A preliminary investigation found evidence that he illegally withdrew Tk 315,757, causing financial loss to the government. Inconsistencies in signatures on travel statements, bills, and certificates were also identified during the investigation.
As the misconduct allegations were proven in the investigating officer’s report, he was issued a show-cause notice. Later, on the advice of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, a decision was made to compulsorily retire him as a major punishment. He was currently attached in Sylhet.
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Manzur Morshed Chowdhury signed the notification on the order of the President.
