The Religious Minister spoke with Mohammad Ali Kashmiri, who is in charge of the Umrah caravan affected in the attack, and inquired about the injured people's physical condition. He also assisted in arranging safe accommodation for the Umrah pilgrims.
The Religious Minister said that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are extremely important for the Muslim world. Violence that endangers the lives of innocent people and Umrah pilgrims is in no way acceptable. Countries of the Muslim world must protest in unity against such attacks.
He said that, on the instructions of Prime Minister Tareque Rahman, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and relevant offices are monitoring the situation around the clock. Contact and coordination with the relevant authorities continue to keep treatment, security, accommodation, and travel to Makkah and Madinah uninterrupted for Bangladeshi citizens and Umrah pilgrims staying in Saudi Arabia.
Expressing deep condolences to the families of the deceased, the Religious Minister said that the government will provide all-out cooperation to ensure treatment and necessary assistance for the injured. He thanked the relevant authorities of Saudi Arabia for taking measures for the safety and treatment of Umrah pilgrims.
