On Monday evening (October 12), diplomats from various countries, distinguished persons, and invited guests attended the event organized by the Spanish Embassy in the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Dhaka Hotel in the capital.

Jamaat Secretary General at Spain's National Day event
In the greeting letter sent to the King of Spain, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman extended National Day greetings to the King, the royal family, the government, and the people of the country. At the same time, he wished for Spain's peace, progress, and prosperity.
The letter emphasized further strengthening the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Spain. Besides the potential to increase cooperation in trade and investment, development cooperation, culture, education, migration, and tourism, it also mentioned the contributions of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Spain.
