Strict measures if irregularities occur in family card distribution: State Minister Tuku

The State Minister said everyone will receive family cards in phases. Workers appointed for data collection will go from house to house and prepare a list of beneficiaries through verification and screening. Therefore, no one will have to rush around or lobby for this. Referring to the implementation of the government's promises, he said that as per the pledges made before the election, arrangements have been made for family cards, farmer cards, and allowances for imams, muezzins, and priests.

Regarding the security of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said law enforcement agencies will remain vigilant to prevent unpleasant incidents at the pandals. The event, presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Shahin Mia, was attended by officials of the Social Services Office, police administration, and district BNP leaders. After the event, the State Minister distributed allocated rice D.O.s and financial grants for puja pandals on the occasion of Durga Puja.
