The 41-year-old forward has been given this punishment for leaving the national team camp following a dispute with head coach Jorge Jesus.
Earlier this month, Ronaldo was angered by coach Jesus keeping him on the bench in the Nations League match against Norway. He later left the team before the match against Denmark. However, the superstar later publicly apologized for his behavior and said he accepted the punishment. The coach and the federation president also indicated that the national team door remains open for Ronaldo after the punishment ends.
However, the Disciplinary Council has not yet clarified exactly which matches Ronaldo will be unable to play in due to the suspension, including Portugal's next match against Denmark on November 15.
