The adviser said that investment in the private sector has declined, increasing the employment crisis. At the same time, the Middle East crisis and rising fuel prices have created new pressure on the economy. Regarding the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) GDP projection, he said that without necessary reforms growth will decline further, which has been ignored in that projection. He also remarked that misinformation is being spread by distorting information on social media.

He said the government has undertaken groundbreaking social protection programs so that ordinary people do not fall below the poverty line due to inflationary pressure. Rajbari District Council Administrator Abdus Salam, District Information Officer Rekha Islam, and local journalists were present at the exchange-of-views meeting.
