Forecast of new low pressure in Bay of Bengal, possibility of rain within five days

This information was provided in the 120-hour forecast signed by Meteorologist Kh. Hafizur Rahman on Wednesday (October 21).

The forecast said that currently a low pressure is located in the southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast, whose extended part stretches up to the north Bay of Bengal. Under this situation, another new low pressure may form in the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal area next Friday (October 23), which is feared to intensify further later.

The weather office further said that although the sky may remain partly cloudy until next Sunday (October 25), the weather across the country may remain mainly dry and temperatures may drop slightly. However, on Monday (October 26), rain or thunder showers may occur at one or two places in Chattogram Division, and in the following days the tendency of rainfall may increase in various regions of the country.
